Vgambling rebrands as Esports Entertainment Group
Online esports-focused gambling company Vgambling has announced it will change its name to Esports Entertainment Group in anticipation of its new platform launch.
The company said the name change is due to the launch of its new esports online wagering platform in June, to provide better name recognition in the industry, and to support and aid branding of its esports industry and trade conferences worldwide.
It also said that the name change reflected the company's aim to expand its scope of operations within the esports entertainment and gaming industry.
Grant Johnson, chief executive of Esports Entertainment, said: “We are pleased to announce our corporate name change because it sends a signal to the world that we are preparing to imminently launch both our esports wagering platform and corporate development programs.
“This is an incredibly exciting time for our shareholders, pre-registered customers, partners and the entire eSports industry.”
Esports Entertainment was issued a global permit by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission in 2015.
