Malta-based sports betting supplier, Betby, has been granted its supplier licence by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), a key milestone for the company as it continues its expansion into new jurisdictions.

The licence will allow Betby to provide its sportsbook solution to operators across several European jurisdictions.

Betby offers an artificial intelligence-powered sportsbook solution, featuring customisation options and a full suite of marketing tools. It has seen some success in recent weeks, closing deals with a number of European operators.

“Being awarded our MGA supplier licence is an important step for us as we continue to establish our presence as a leading sportsbook supplier,” its chief executive Leonid Pertsovskiy commented.

The company has undergone significant changes over the last year, with the appointment of new COO Eva Berkova in 2019 helping drive its expansion across European markets.

Betby subsequently added over 1,000 live daily esports events to its offering, in response to the novel Coronavirus (covid-19) pandemic, allowing operators to integrate esports betting into their sportsbooks within 24 hours. In May, Betby went on to integrate TVBet’s live casino products into its solution.

In July, Betby took its sportsbook and Betby.Games esports offering live with igaming solutions provider Advabet, which offers white label and turnkey online casino solutions.

The supplier’s esports offering was also made available to operator group Pomadorro, which runs the Curaçao-licensed operations JoyCasino and Casino-X. Betby also expanded its existing relationship with industry supplier Gamingtec, to integrate its esports products into the white label and turnkey solution provider’s product portfolio.

In addition, the supplier has recently signed deals with European operators Pokerdom and Avento.
