Camelot Global (“Camelot”) has today announced that Duncan Malyon will join as Senior Vice President of North America. Duncan’s role at Camelot will be to continue to build the North American business in line with its global strategic business plans. One of his key areas of focus will be to further develop Camelot Global’s future digital and retail channel strategy, to the benefit of its North American partners. Duncan will report directly to Nigel Railton, CEO of Camelot Global, when he joins in August.
Camelot Global has established its position as a leading technology and professional services provider to lotteries around the world. Duncan’s experience and retail and digital expertise will enable Camelot to further develop and deliver industry-leading solutions to lotteries and lottery owners. He will also further build Camelot’s commercial expertise as the business continues to grow internationally.
Duncan joined Camelot UK as the Sales Director in April 2009, during his time in the UK business he has been responsible for developing and implementing Camelot UK’s retail strategy and business plans. Duncan has overseen the growth in total National Lottery sales by 30% in his six years at Camelot; in-store sales have reached a record £5.9 billion ($9bn), while online sales have grown by 130%. Duncan has also overseen the successful expansion of Camelot’s retail estate, taking it from 27,500 outlets to over 46,000 – greatly improving consumer access to The National Lottery across the whole of the UK. He has also been responsible for The UK National Lottery’s customer service and distribution functions, where he has been responsible for improving both efficiency and customer service levels.
Prior to joining Camelot, Duncan held senior and directorial commercial roles with Coca-Cola, Kraft Foods and Coors Brewers. In these blue chip organisations he gained a wealth of experience in growing sales across all channels – convenience, multiples, forecourts and online.
