Delaware sports betting revenue slips to year low in June

The Delaware Lottery has revealed that sports betting revenue fell to a calendar-year low during the month of June, while igaming revenue and spend also declined year-on-year.
Sports wagering revenue for the four weeks to June 27 amounted to $645,736 (£474,763/€549,290), the lowest monthly amount this year so far.
Delaware’s handle for the month reached $6.0m, the second-lowest monthly amount in 2021 behind the $5.5m wagered by players in April.
Year-on-year comparisons were not possible as Delaware’s land-based sportsbooks were closed for the entire month of June 2020 due to state-wide restrictions related to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Delaware Park led the market in June with $367,901 in sports betting revenue off a handle of $3.3m.
