Clarion Gaming is looking to recruit a product performance analyst to support its ambitious digital growth plans.

This role has four main elements 

  1. Create and manage client reporting processes, working with customer success and technology to leverage automation opportunities where possible
  2. Work with marketing ops, digital and product (content) to suggest and test developments for greater product performance
  3. Support each ‘head of content’ with product analytics to drive greater acquisition and conversion potential

Your role

As our product performance analyst, you will be the expert and advocate for data-led value reporting and decision making in the product team.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of the client value reporting and internal product performance analysis across our content marketing sites (igamingbusiness.com, igbaffiliate.com, ICE365.com, and our directory assets).

This includes driving the data agenda in the product team (content) and linking with marketing to support creation and delivery of high performance products.

The team

You will be working in our digital content team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product performance is front of mind. You will report directly into the head of campaign operations/head of content and will be required to influence other internal stakeholders across digital projects, including but not limited to: News editors, commercial content, SEO specialists, content marketing, brand managers and marketing operations.

Monthly responsibilities

What will I be doing?

External

  • Build campaign reporting for clients, working with customer success to deliver at set frequency, on time and in full
  • Reading and maintaining your own digital client schedule, ensuring all reporting requirements are known

Internal

  • Identify benchmark data for product performance, ensuring that you are communicating these throughout the product organization, utilizing our CRM, CDP and web customer data tools
  • Collaborate with the heads of content/commercial content managers and head of digital to ensure they are supported with the data insights they need to be effective
  • This includes managing incoming requests and promoting opportunities for analytics to help them achieve their goals
  • Develop and implement user friendly reports that support self-serve performance analysis & decision-making in Clarion Digital product teams
  • Analyse user flows and interactions on our digital products (website, app), with a view to providing insight that guides strategy and development
  • Work in cross-functional teams including digital dev and testing
  • Lead the implementation of online tracking journeys, allowing us to create a clear picture of our members’ digital journeys and their performance
  • Utilise a range of data sources, including ‘offline’ customer data, to deepen our understanding of customer behaviour and the impact of product developments
  • Design and analyse product-led A/B tests to optimise user interactions and make our online proposition as smooth as possible
  • Take an active role ensuring data is considered in all stages of the product life cycle (scoping, planning, building, post-release analysis)
  • Inform product pricing strategy with demand-led insights
  • Promote best practice, guiding stakeholders and other analysts of various levels in the use of data and analysis techniques
  • Promote ethical best practice in the way all data is used and processed, always ensuring compliance and security is placed first

About You

Your experience

  • 3+ years in a similar data or analytical role
  • Experience working with product or web analytics solutions, e.g. Mixpanel, Power BI, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, Infinity, or similar
  • You will be experienced in core analysis technologies, with excellent Excel/Sheets skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills – able to articulate results clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders
  • Can confidently build and present meaningful data visualisations, in Excel/Sheets and ideally a dashboarding platform such as Tableau, Power BI
  • Can interpret graphical representations of data and make recommendations
  • Statistical knowledge including sampling, significance, hypothesis testing and basic probability theory
  • Highly numerate & analytical, able to delve into the detail but understand the strategic view
  • Able to document and version control your work so others can pick it up and build on it
  • Proven ability to engage productively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment where prioritisation is required

Ideally you will have…

  • Education to degree level in a numeric, scientific or engineering discipline
  • Experience with an AB testing framework (e.g. Optimizely, Target etc)
  • Be comfortable with transformation environment, working to build out this capability in the long term
