National Lottery Bulgaria has joined forces with Scientific Games to launch a new digital gaming service for consumers in the country.

Scientific Games has rolled out an initial set of nine online slot games with the lottery, including popular titles ‘88 Fortunes’, ‘Giant’s Gold’ and ‘Rainbow Riches’.

Within 24 hours of the launch, National Lottery Bulgaria reports that the games generated more than €500,000 (£437,300/$567,100) in sales.

The two parties plan to add further Scientific Games to the new offering before the end of the first quarter, with the aim of attracting a broader audience and driving player engagement.

“Scientific Games’ digital products have proven an excellent fit for National Lottery Bulgaria, outperforming our expectations within the first 24 hours of launch,” National Lottery Bulgaria managing partner Milen Ganev said.

“Our players are engaging with the games immediately, and we see demand and repeat gameplay growing every day.”

Steve Schrier, chief commercial officer, digital, at Scientific Games, added: “Our success in regulated European markets is made possible by customers like National Lottery Bulgaria, who seek to give their players a world-class and responsible gaming experience. We’re thrilled to work with them on additional game launches over the coming months, and we look forward to being a part of their success.”

Scientific Games provides games, technology and services to over 150 lotteries in 50 countries around the world, including a number of other regions in Europe such as Germany and Hungary.
