Sports wagering revenue from New York’s four commercial casinos picked up significantly in January 2020, with revenue of $1.9M, more than double the record-low figure posted in December 2019.

Rush Street’s Rivers Casino and Resort in Schenectady, the closest in-state sports wagering location to New York City, retook its spot as the largest source of sports wagering revenue in the state, with its Kambi-powered sportsbook bringing in $778,997, up 149.8% month-on-month.

December’s revenue leader, del Lago Resort and Casino in Seneca County, was the only location where revenue did not double month-on-month but the casino’s takings did still increase 82.0% to $610,250. The sportsbook at del Lago is operated by DraftKings.

Resorts World Catskills, which features an International Game Technology (IGT) and Betgenius-powered sportsbook, bounced back from an especially weak December to post revenue of $395,659, more than five times the total recorded in the previous month.
