iGaming Business and Ficom Leisure are pleased to present the Portugal iGaming Dashboard, providing revenue, product and game metrics on the dot.pt regulated market. The data is updated quarterly following the official release of the figures by Portuguese regulator the Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos (SRIJ). The regulated Portuguese market ended the year on a high, with operators enjoying another record-breaking quarter in the three month period ended December 31, 2018. Fourth quarter GGR rose to €43.1m, representing a 10% rise on the third quarter and an 18% rise on the same period the previous year.  Sports betting and casino both contributed to the rise in Q4, with almost equal increases on the previous quarter. However, within the verticals there was some shift in player preferences. In casino, both slots and blackjack performed well, with the former up 15% on Q3 and the latter doubling its GGR. On the other hand, roulette fell by 25%. In sports betting, both football and tennis lost market share, while basketball and ice hockey re-entered the tables after not registering in the previous quarter.  Scroll down and click on the drop down options to compare how Portugal’s igaming market has performed on a quarterly and annual basis. European corporate advisory firm Ficom Leisure is a specialist in all segments of the betting and gaming sector.
