Scientific Games has secured a new, five-year contract with Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz in Germany.

Under the agreement, Scientific Games will now provide lottery instant games and its Cooperative Services Program (CSP) for instant game management.

Scientific Games has been working with Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz for over 30 years and also supplies the lottery with a central gaming system, retailer terminals and sports betting services.

The southwest German state of Rheinland-Pfalz is home to around four million residents.

Matthias Müller, managing director Germany for Scientific Games, said: “We are pleased that we were able to prevail in the Europe-wide tender and Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz once again chose Scientific Games as their instant games partner due to our local resources and knowhow, logistics infrastructure in close proximity to the Lottery's premises and retail network, as well as our more than four decades of experience with instant games.”

The expanded deal comes after Scientific Games also recently agreed to support the launch of the first-ever National Lottery in Kazakhstan.
