Stats Perform has been appointed as the exclusive streaming rights and betting data provider to the Brazilian Série A and Série B club football competitions.

Under the multi-year arrangement, Stats Perform will hold the official betting data and betting live streaming rights for both leagues.

Stats Perform agreed the deal with Confederação Brasileira de Futebol, Brazil’s governing body for football, and the Zeus Sports Marketing (ZSM) agency.

The rights will be added to its betting portfolio, which also includes Spanish La Liga and French Ligue 1 football, as well as WTA Tennis.

“Brazil produces the largest number of professional footballers around the world, with many of the world's most exciting prospects emerging from Brasileirão Série A before making the move across the Atlantic to Europe's leading clubs,” Stats Perform’s chief rights officer Alex Rice said.

“It is an exciting time to be involved and we look forward to working with the leagues as they kick off their season.”

Josh Burack, partner and managing director at ZSM Asia Pacific, described the deal as a “landmark commercial arrangement” for the CBF and Stats Perform.

“We look forward to serving Stats Perform, the CBF and all 40 clubs from the top two divisions to bring this high-profile football content to services around the world,” Burack said.

Meanwhile, Global Rights Sports Management (GRSM) has been appointed as the global international media rights agency for Série A and Série B.

The agreement will enable Latin-America-based GRSM to distribute the rights for live streaming, television, cable and pay-per-view on a global basis.

In addition, GSRM will create an over-the-top streaming platform to showcase all matches of the Brasileirão Série A and Série B.
