STS, the largest bookmaker in Poland, has extended its sponsorship agreement with KS Cracovia, a team playing in the country's top football league the Ekstraklasa.

STS, the largest bookmaker in Poland, has extended its sponsorship agreement with KS Cracovia, a team playing in the country's top football league the Ekstraklasa.

STS will be the offical bookmaker of the club, and its logo will continue to be featured on the team's shirt sleeves. The new agreement will remain in place for another three years, until June 2022, continuing a relationship that began in 2016.

“STS is the largest private sponsor of Polish sport,” STS chief executive Mateusz Juroszek said. “We cooperate with over a dozen clubs, organisations and associations that operate not only in Poland but also internationally.

“Cracovia is a partner that is very important to us; it helps us reach a lot of sports fans all over the country,” he continued. “Our commitment distinguishes us from other sponsors. Since 2016 we have been organising a number of activities addressed to the club supporters.”

STS claimed a 47.1% share of Poland’s regulated online betting market in 2018, though it may face competition from the range of operators that were offered licenses to operate in Poland in the past year, including Betfan, Totalbet and Ewinner. In February of this year, STS took steps to expand beyond Poland into the rest of Europe through a partnership with BetConstruct.

Cracovia is the oldest Polish football club still in existence, formed in 1906, and has played in the Ekstraklasa since the league's establishment.
