Sportradar has agreed a deal to provide a range of integrity-focused services to the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol).
Under the agreement, Sportradar will implement its Fraud Detection System and monitor the global betting market in relation to a host of South American leagues and competitions.
Conmebol will also benefit from the use of the Sportradar Fraud Intelligence Unit for the collection and processing of information, as well as the Fraud Prevention Services to educate players, coaches and officials over the dangers of match manipulation
Conmebol president Alejandro Domínguez said: “In this new Conmebol, we take our responsibility to ensure the integrity of football, both on the field of play and in its management, incredibly seriously.
“Bringing on board a world-class company like Sportradar to prevent, identify and investigate various forms of sporting fraud, marks a new milestone in our crusade to strengthen transparency, guarantee sports justice, promote fair play values and strengthen confidence in the institutions that govern football.”
