SIS chief executive Smith to step down
Sports Information Services (SIS) has announced that Gary Smith has left his role as chief executive of the company.
In a statement confirming the move, SIS said Smith has stepped down in order to “pursue other opportunities” after almost five years in the role.
Richard Ames, who has served as interim product director since November 2016, has been appointed as Smith’s replacement with immediate effect.
SIS chairman Roger Devlin said: “The board would like to thank Gary for his dedicated service and contribution to SIS.
“During his tenure SIS managed to secure both the RMG horse racing and Irish horse racing rights.
“Gary will provide consultancy services for a short period to ensure a smooth transition during this change in leadership.”
