872 employees to be laid off by Circus Circus & Tropicana

On 30 June, Phil Ruffin-owned Circus Circus informed the city’s mayor, the Clark County Commission chairperson, and the Employment Security Division of the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation, that from September 1, 2020, the company will permanently terminate the roles of 252 employees.

Meanwhile, the Penn National Gaming-operated Tropicana Las Vegas supplied the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation with a WARN Act Notice of Layoff on 3 July.
