iGaming Business and Ficom Leisure are pleased to present the Denmark iGaming Dashboard, providing revenue and product metrics on the dot.dk regulated market.

The Danish market enjoyed a second consecutive record-breaking quarter in the third quarter of this year, helped along by the second half of the Fifa World Cup and a strong casino performance.

Although Denmark was knocked out of the football tournament right at the start of the period, sports betting GGR remained high at €57.9m, up slightly on the second quarter’s €57.8m.

Casino grew at a stronger rate, rising to €68.2m from €67.2m the previous quarter. This put the vertical up almost 20% on the third quarter of last year.

Slots continued to take the lion’s share of the market, with 67.6%. The next most popular product was roulette at 15.1% and then blackjack at 12.5%.

Total igaming GGR reached €131.0m in the third quarter, up only a fraction on the second quarter’s €129.9 but up 16.2% on the €112.7m of the third quarter of last year.

However, as is the case elsewhere in Europe, poker continued to languish, and bingo fared even worse. From a start of €2.0m in the first quarter – the vertical has been regulated only since the start of the year – bingo GGR fell first to €1.8m in the second quarter and then further to €1.5m in the third quarter.
