Successful partnership with Megogo TV results in increased activity on the company’s platform, an influx of new customers and a spike in overall product metrics.

On 18 May 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, one of the most hotly anticipated fights of the decade took place as Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk and the UK’s Tyson Fury went head-to-head to battle it out for the title of undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. For the first time in 25 years, all heavyweight belts were at stake. The winner was Oleksandr Usyk.

“Not only has Oleksandr Usyk collected all of the heavyweight belts, he has once again demonstrated the indomitable Ukrainian spirit to the whole world. We’re proud to see such a talented athlete from our country write his name in the pages of boxing history with the likes of Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield,” said GGBET UA CEO Dmytro Voshkarin.

GGBET UA sponsored the live stream on the popular media service Megogo, which allowed viewers in Ukraine to enjoy the historic bout.

“Events of such scale have amazing potential for the igaming industry; one fight can have more money bet on it than an entire week of the Fifa World Cup group stage. On the day of the fight we noticed a significant influx of new customers and the number of first deposits was 471% higher than on an average day. All in all, activity on our platform grew significantly. The number of unique users peaked at 157% higher than normal. The number of bets grew by 73% and the total stake of all bets by 79%,” added Voshkarin.

The GGBET brand famously holds a heavyweight position of its own in esports betting and is actively working on expanding its influence in traditional sports betting. Sites operating under the GGBET brand offer betting on over 40 sports. The brand is focusing its strategy specifically on activities that allow fans to support their favourite teams and players and enjoy exciting competitions. Euro 2024 is a major event and is due to start soon, a fact that has not escaped the brand’s attention.
