32Red has announced record annual net gaming revenues of £62.3 million (€72 million/$78 million) during 2016.

The online gaming operator saw a 28% year-on-year rise during the 12-month period, and said that trading so far in 2017 is 21% up on last January.

32Red said casino NGR was up 16% year-on-year to £45.6 million, with NGR from other products up 60% to £3.8 million.

32Red said the “strong performance” was driven by a combination of healthy organic growth in the core 32Red business, which was up 19% on 2015, and a full-year contribution from the Roxy Palace business, which was acquired in July 2015.

Ed Ware, chief executive of 32Red, said: “32Red experienced another hugely successful year with profits and revenues breaking previous records, driven by excellent growth in our core casino products.

“We have continued to deliver progress against our clear growth strategy underpinned by the strength of the 32Red brand, effective return on investment-driven marketing and an enhanced customer proposition.

“The key strategically important contracts signed during the second half of 2016 will help the company to deliver its stated growth strategy and the board remains confident of delivering continued progress in 2017.”
