Kindred Group had revealed that it is to support and fund a mobile application designed to offer help to problem gamblers.

The free ‘Gambling Therapy’ app features information about problem gambling, therapeutic exercises and support for people struggling with their gambling patterns.

Kindred Group said it will support the app financially to allow full development of the service, with this to form part of its “commitment to a safe and secure gambling environment for its customers”.

Gambling Therapy will be soon released in the four Nordic languages: Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and Danish.

“Providing a safe and secure environment for our customers is at the very heart of Kindred, which is why we continue to support initiatives that can minimise the harm caused by gambling,” Kindred’s integrity analytics manager, Maris Bonello, said.

Pedro Romero, head of Gambling Therapy, added: “We are delighted with Kindred’s support to further develop the Gambling Therapy App, which will further help thousands of people struggling with their gambling.

“It is widely recognised within the industry that Kindred Group is a leader in Player Protection; this is thanks to the company’s commitment, its engagement and their Responsible Gambling team.”
