Revenue and profit continue to rise at Bet365

Bet365 has announced that it was able to achieve further year-on-year growth in both revenue and operating profit during the 12-month period ending March 27.

Bet365 has announced that it was able to achieve further year-on-year growth in both revenue and operating profit during the 12-month period ending March 27.

Revenue amounted to £1.55 billion (€1.8 billion/$2.01 billion), up 5% from the £1.57 billion achieved in the previous year.

Operating profit increased from £406 million to £456 million, with pre-tax profit also up from £409 million to £459 million.

Bet365 also saw a jump in the amount wagered by customers, with this amount up by over £2.3 million year-on-year to £36.9 billion, while the total number of active customers rose 11%, with lifetime sign-ups now at almost 23.1 million.

The company also expanded its employee base to 3,404, in addition to 297 casual match-day staff employed at sports events during the 12-month period.

Bet365, which holds the majority share in English Premier League football club Stoke City, is owned by the family of chief executive and co-founder Denise Coates.
