LeoVegas has launched LiveCasino.com, a live casino-focused website built on its own platform and licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority.

The operator's chief executive Gustaf Hagman said the launch formed part of LeoVegas' plans to dominate the online casino vertical.

“Given our ambition to take a position as the global leader in online casino, it is natural to offer a brand targeted at Live Casino,” Hagman explained. “We want to create a natural gathering place for everyone who loves playing games such as roulette and blackjack.

“The brand offers a unique and innovate way to log in and register as a customer.”

The site was developed by Brands of Leo, the LeoVegas multibrand unit. It will is built on LeoVegas’s own platform and be managed by the team that created the GoGoCasino brand.

“We are proud and excited to launch LiveCasino.com on our proprietary technical platform,” Hagman said. “The team has done a fantastic job of taking the entire live casino experience to a whole new level.”

The site is already licenced by the Malta Gaming Authority. Although Hagman said the site will be targeted towards English-speaking markets, it is not yet licensed in Great Britain.

“LiveCasino.com is now being launched globally in a number of English-speaking countries, and the ambition is to launch in several of the group’s locally licensed markets going forward,” he added.
