Former IGT and Playtech executive to lead supplier's slots development team

iSoftBet has hired former IGT and Playtech executive Mark Claxton as its new head of games.

Claxton is to manage the content aggregator and supplier’s team of senior developers and specialists in London.

He has worked in the gaming sector for 17 years, most recently serving as IGT’s head of content for UK and Europe for two years. He also spent seven years at Ash Gaming, a Playtech subsidiary, as product manager, and had shorter spells in senior content roles at Plumbeeand GSN.

“I’m delighted to join iSoftBet, a young and energetic company that has come a long way in a short space of time,” Claxton said of his new employer. “The management team has huge growth ambitions due to the strength of its games and the power of its Game Aggregation Platform (GAP).

“I want to give our customers’ players an experience they won’t forget when they play our games and, judging by the road map we have in place, they won’t be disappointed. There is huge potential in the talent here at iSoftbet.”

iSoftBet, which provides its services and content to leading operators such as GVC, LeoVegas and BetVictor, has made a number of senior appointments during 2018. Mats Lundin was appointed head of sales for Europe, Ofir Haber became head of product and Andrew Bonici was named head of data & analytics.

The company said it has seen an 80% year-on-year rise in revenue during 2018, allowing it to increase investment in game development.

“Mark is well known in the industry as one of the biggest talents in game design, development and delivery and we’re thrilled to have him here at iSoftBet,” said Michael Probert, iSoftBet’s chief commercial officer.

“His input and guidance will be invaluable as we embark on our biggest year yet.”
