FUN88 has agreed a deal to become the primary partner of Newcastle United, which recently won promotion to the English Premier League top-tier club football competition.

The agreement will run for three seasons, from 2017-18 to 2019-20.

The gaming company’s branding will appear on the front of Newcastle’s playing jerseys.

FUN88will also support the club’s various fan initiatives in the UK and around the world.

Nathan Walker, director at FUN88, said: “Our previous sponsorships in English football have delivered great results and I'm certain Newcastle United provides FUN88 with a platform to move to new heights.

“We are looking forward to engaging with the club's huge fanbase – both in Newcastle and worldwide.”

The agreement comes after Everton, also of the Premier League, this week signed a shirt sponsorship deal with African online sports betting firm SportPesa.

Lee Charnley, managing director at Newcastle, added: “It was important for us to find the right partner and in FUN88, we have a shirt sponsor that understands the club and brings significant benefits commercially.

“The relationship will enable the club and FUN88 to enhance our respective global profiles together as we celebrate a landmark season and embark on the exciting Premier League campaign ahead.”
