bet-at-home reveals record financial results in 2016
bet-at-home has announced that it generated record gaming volumes, betting and gaming revenues in the 12 months to December 31, 2016.
Gross betting and gaming revenue amounted to €138.7 million ($146.5 million), up 14% on the €121.6 million in the previous year.
The company noted that the biggest share of revenue was collected in the fourth quarter, with the €38.3 million representing the highest quarterly result in the firm’s history.
Elsewhere gaming volume for the full year came in at €2.9 billion, which was 21% higher than €2.4 billion in 2015, while consolidated profit for the 12-month period increased 1% year-on-year to €31 million.
In addition, marketing expense amounted to €44 million, 21% more than in the previous year, while bet-at-home was able to increase its total number of staff by 12% to 296.
“In 2016, bet-at-home AG Group once again showed its strength by generating new record gaming volumes, betting and gaming revenues as well as earnings,” the company said in a statement.
“In addition, numerous marketing campaigns and sponsoring activities consistently increased the group’s popularity.
“Strong earnings development and increased investments to strengthen the brand popularity.
“bet-at-home further increased its gross betting and gaming revenue significantly in 2016 and was therefore in a position to exceed the previous year’s results once more.
“The marketing campaigns relating to the European Championship in France were among the key investments; they will contribute substantially to the sustainable development of the bet-at-home brand.”
