BetOlimp launches live video streaming service for Euro 2016
Online sports betting and e-gaming operator BetOlimp has linked up with UK-based Independent Content Services (ICS) to launch its Twitch inspired live video streaming service for the ongoing Euro 2016 national football team tournament.
The in-play betting companion video streaming service, which BetOlimp said is the first of its kind, provides on-demand video content that offers advice on in-play betting and cash-out opportunities.
The video features analysis from various sports experts and statisticians, as well as match commentary on all games during this year’s competition, which began in France on June 10 and runs until July 10.
The stream begins approximately five minutes before kick-off and ends when the final whistle is blown, with the service currently available in both English and German languages.
“We have all seen the explosive growth of real-time in-game video broadcasting on streaming platform Twitch, which has helped grow e-sports,” BetOlimp chief marketing officer Mark McGuinness said.
“If you combine this with the fact that 74% of all internet traffic in 2017 is forecast to be video content along with 65% of video viewers, watch more than 3/4 of a video.
“Then include in-play and cash-out, the two most popular sports betting products, it's not rocket science to provide a video-based betting companion entertainment service to meet what punters want.”
Ian Holding, director and co-founder of ICS, added: “BetOlimp's punters have reacted well to our service that provides real-time and authentic in-play, video-based betting programming.
“Thus far our team of experts have advised of several ‘winning in-play bets’ and hopefully more to come.”
