Brazil welcomes Vermantia, Intralot as first virtual sports service
Vermantia has linked up with Lotteria Mineira, a Brazilian state lottery operated by the Intralot Minas Gerais business of Intralot, to launch the first virtual sports betting service in the country.
Under the agreement, Lotteria Mineira will gain access to ‘Vermantia Connect’ and a portfolio of more than 14 virtual sports games, which will be delivered across the lottery’s retail network.
The suite features virtual sports titles from Vermantia as well as a number of its partners, such as Kiron Interactive ad Vsoft.
The initial rollout of games, which covers 400 shops, includes ‘Virtual Football’ by Vsoft and ‘Virtual Motor Racing Max Car’ from Fluid Games.
“We needed to open up the Virtual Gaming sector with content of the highest quality and variety, while having an in-depth understanding of the players’ needs in our local gaming market,” Intralot Minas Gerais chairman, Sergio Alvarenga, said.
“We firmly believe that the launch of Vermantia’s Virtual Games will lead to the enhancement of Brazilian players’ betting experience and pave the way for incremental revenue increase.”
Filippos Antonopoulos, chief executive of Vermantia, added: “Our entry in the Brazilian gaming market proves Vermantia’s continuous effort and evolvement within the last two years.
“We choose to follow the path of customised solutions, always adaptable to our clients’ needs.
“Our virtual games are already live in selected points of sale of Lotteria Mineira with impressive results, which make us confident for the total roll-out in 400 shops, while adding to our global reach of omni-channel, virtual sports delivery.”
