Cherry’s Game Lounge purchases TodaysWeb

Game Lounge, a subsidiary of Cherry AB, has acquired the majority of the assets of search engine optimisation (SEO) specialist TodaysWeb.

The purchase price amounts to SEK14m (€1.4m/$1.7m) and is being financed through available cash and bank balances.

The acquisition comprises approximately 1,500 websites, certain SEO tools and services, as well as a team of specialist SEO staff.

Jonas Cederholm, chief executive of Game Lounge, said: “The timing of the acquisition is perfect as we are currently in a strong growth phase.

“We have previously announced our ambition to enter new verticals and this acquisition will accelerate our plans.

“I look forward to welcoming ten new members to the Game Lounge team.”
