Gaming Realms claims 116% revenue increase in 2015
Gaming Realms has announced that it was able to achieve a 116% year-on-year increase in group revenue during the 12 months through to December 2015.
In a trading update, the company reported that revenue for the past 12 months came in at £21.4 million (€28.1 million/$30.5 million), an amount that is in line with management’s expectations.
Real-money gaming revenue amounted to £10.8 million in 2015, a significant increase of 305% on the total posted during the previous year.
Gaming Realms also highlighted the success of its Slingo brand during the past 12 months, citing new partnerships with Fremantle Media, Endemol and Zynga as key agreements for the company.
Patrick Southon, chief executive of Gaming Realms, said: “The group made great progress in 2015, achieving group revenue growth of 116% and real-money revenue growth of 305% following the launch of our proprietary games platform, Grizzly.
“We are excited by what has already been achieved in social gaming following the acquisition of RealNetwork Inc.'s mobile games assets as we look to build out our games offering and publishing capabilities.
“The group is already reaping the benefits of the acquisition, evident by the signing of the agreements with Fremantle, Endemol and Zynga.
“These agreements will open the group up to new player audiences and revenue streams.”
