PKR future uncertain after filing for administration
Concerns have been raised over the future of operator PKR after the company filed applications to court for administration orders
The PKR.com website is currently down, with a message earlier today (Friday) stating that both PKR Ltd and PKR Technologies Ltd are suffering from financial issues and are in the process of “taking professional advice”.
The message added that the process is “ongoing” and further updates will be published on the website as and when they become available.
However, PKR has now updated the message to confirm that it has filed for administration orders.
PKR said on its website: “Further to earlier announcements, PKR limited and PKR Technologies Ltd have filed applications to court for administration orders, which will be heard in the week commencing May 8, 2017.
“Further information will be placed on this website following the hearings.
“This information will include contact details for players and creditors to address queries and details of the process.”
Microgaming, which in February 2016 became the exclusive casino and poker games provider to PKR, issued a statement today saying that PKR had requested Microgaming to postpone all gameplay on PKR.com.
At the time, Microgaming said it was seeking further information about the situation and later published further statements confirming the financial difficulties and subsequent court filing.
