Playtech to cease publication of Q1 and Q3 trading updates

Playtech has announced that it will no longer release trading updates for the first or third quarters of the year.

The decision moves the firm in line with other companies that have a Premium Listing on the London Stock Exchange, some of which have also opted to move to a system under which financial reports are more limited.

The UK Investment Association recently recommended that companies move to this model in an effort to encourage long-term investment practice.

Despite confirmation of the move, Playtech did state that it “continues to enjoy momentum in its business and current trading remains strong”.

The firm’s next planned update will be at the time of its Annual General Meeting on May 18.
