Sophie Hodgson named new COO at Blexr

Former VP of people and talent joins Paudie O’Reilly and Andrew Isidoro as part of the executive leadership team.

Blexr, a leading igaming company, is thrilled to announce the promotion of Sophie Hodgson to chief operations officer.

Hodgson brings a wealth of experience to her new role, with a background as a people leader and specialist consultant in the defence, cyber and igaming sectors. Her career spans from working in large FTSE 20 corporations to agile startup scaleups across multiple international locations. Hodgson initially joined Blexr in a consultative capacity before transitioning to a full-time role as VP of people and talent in 2022.

During her tenure at Blexr, Hodgson has been instrumental in building the company’s core people foundations, including career frameworks, transparent pay bands and incentives. Her focus on transforming and enhancing employee experiences across all stages of the employee lifecycle has ensured clarity and transparency in every role, fostering career development and talent retention.

In her new role as COO, Hodgson will continue to oversee the people & talent chapter while extending her responsibilities to day-to-day operations, strategic planning and operational performance across the leadership teams and the business. This newly shaped role will act as a bridge between Blexr’s business operations and product teams, ensuring effective communication and successful execution of strategic objectives.
