PointsBet appoints Hosking as new IT chief
In her new role, Hosking will oversee PointsBet’s overall IT strategy, reporting to president of product and technology Manjit Singh.
Hosking joins PointsBet having most recently served as head of change delivery in the Asia-Pacific region for Specsavers.
Prior to this, she spent 15 years with Australian transportation business the Toll Group, working in a number of roles including national IT for technology leadership and senior manager for Toll Solutions.
Earlier in her career, Hosking also spent time as a training and change consultant for BP.
“As an IT leader, motivated by innovation and building high performing teams, I am excited to be joining the team at PointsBet,” Hosking said. “Working with a global organisation with an impressive growth strategy, leading edge technology and a team of outstanding IT professionals is a dream come true.”
Singh added: “With her strong background in information systems and technologies, Mary-Beth will manage the global PointsBet infrastructure and lead a very talented team who follows industry best practices in operating our systems efficiently with high reliability and security.”
The appointment comes after PointsBet in October reported sports betting and igaming net win figures of AD$69.5m (£36.8m/€43.23m/US$48.8m) for its first quarter of 2021-22, ended 30 September.
This represented an 82% increase on the previous year.
