Aspire Global enters Portugal with Cofina

Aspire Global has expanded its service offering into the Portuguese market after securing a strategic partnership with Cofina.

Under the deal, Aspire Global will power Cofina’s Nossa Aposta brand, offering a range of casino games, slots and sports betting.

In addition, Nossa Aposta will benefit from other services such as payments, risk and fraud management, advanced analysis tools, CRM, support and VIP.

“This is an important step of a journey that has just started, with a common vision based on trust, integrity and added value to the players, that are on the centre of our activity,” Nossa Aposta chief executive Fernando Paes Afonso said.

“We’ll continue to invest together on an unique and distinctive offer, made possible by bringing together the media knowledge of Cofina and the wide experience of Aspire Global in the online gambling activity.”

The deal comes after Nossa Aposta became the 11th operator to acquire an online gaming licence in Portugal since new laws were introduced in the country.

A Nossa Aposta – JJogos e Apostas Online obtained the licence from national gambling regulator Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos (SRIJ).

The company will be active in Portugal via the Nossa Aposta brand.
