Bettor Faster founders launch startup mentoring programme
The founders of UX design studio Bettor Faster have launched GamblingStartup.Ventures, a new mentoring programme for those looking to launch a new business in the industry.
GamblingStartup.Ventures is designed to be an informal network for connect company founders, allowing them to share experience and advice.
It has been founded by Jonny Robb and Nilesh Mistry, who alongside the Bettor Faster business have launched BetBlocks, a WhatsApp-style product for punters to chat and exchange tips.
Robb told iGamingBusiness.com that he is keen to use GamblingStartup.Ventures to encourage companies to interact and work together.
“There was a time that we might have seen a fellow startup, particularly one in a similar space to BetBlocks as competition, but we've learnt that startup life is hard and there's more to gain through help and collaboration than competition,” he explained.
He also suggested that GamblingStartup.Ventures could also act as a showcase for innovative new business, for potential investors and clients, as well as highlighting the adoption of new approaches and new technology within the sector.
While only recently launched, GamblingStartup.Ventures has already brought together a number of industry startups in its network. BetBlocks has been joined by free-to-play sports gaming platform ChalkLine Sports, and Giftmybet, a platform allowing punters to gift bets to one another.
The majority of early sign-ups are sports betting focused, with members including bet strategy testing tool Fireswan, Inplay Racing, which offers an automated pricing tool for horseracing, and Rush Bet, which offers technology to launch 60-second football markets.
Also signed up are AI-powered video tracking technology provider SkillCorner and Casino Coin, which offers a blockchain-powered currency for regulated casino play.
