Delaware claims online gaming growth in August
Delaware was able to post further year-on-year online gaming revenue growth in August, despite being hit by a decline in internet poker.
Overall online gaming revenue for the US state came in at $244,387 (€218,100), up 54% on the amount collected in the previous year, but down on the $304,000 and $281,000 collected in June and July this year, respectively.
Slots served as the main source of income, generating $158,847 in revenue from more than $2.8 million spent by punters.
Poker proved to be the main disappointment for the state, pulling in just $29,155 in revenue, the lowest monthly total since February of this year and down 7% on the total collected in August 2015.
