Imperus Technologies has cited its acquisitions of the Akamon Entertainment and Diwip social gaming brands as two of the key reasons behind its revenue performance during the three months to December 31, 2015.

The social networking, mobile and real-money gaming specialist expects to post revenue of approximately Cad$8.3 million (€5.5 million/US$5.9 million) for the fourth quarter, with earnings before interest, tax, deprecation and amortisation (EBITDA) forecast to come in at Cad$2.7 million.

Although these amounts represent lower results than the revenue of Cad$10.7 million and adjusted EBITDA of Cad$3.9 million posted in the third quarter of this year, Imperus noted that had Akamon and Diwip been fully consolidated, it would have posted quarter-on-quarter growth in the period.

Imperus said that revenue and adjusted EBITDA for Akamon and Diwip on a combined basis, excluding Imperus overheads, for the full fourth quarter would have been Cad$10.8 million and Cad$4.2 million, respectively.

James Lanthier, chief executive of Imperus, said: “We are pleased with our Q4 results, which show the enduring and growing profitability of our businesses.

“We are even more excited about Imperus’ future and the operational progress we have been making in realising the benefits of bringing Akamon and Diwip together.”
