The week’s esports fixtures: 2 to 8 July
iGB, in partnership with Bayes Esports Solutions, is proud to present a regular list of fixtures for some of the most popular esports competitions, helping operators looking to expand into the esports market at a time when interest in the vertical is hitting new heights.
As with last week, Tencent Games’ LDL 2020 Summer event tops the leaderboard, with 28 fixutres in the League of Legends touranment taking place in the coming seven days. Topping the standings so far is Joy Dream, on an eight match winning streak.
Next up is the Dota 2 event, the ESL National Championship 2020 Meisterschaft Season 1, which moves into second place with 17 fixtures. That Germany-based event, which runs until 22 August, is currently going through its group stages in which two mini-leagues of six compete against one another. Currently airGERlich and Recast Gaming topping their groups, meaning they will progress to the semi-finals if they hold on. The second and third-placed teams in each progress to quarter-finals.
And in third, with 15 fixtures, is the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event, Perfect World Asia League Summer 2020. This runs until 19 July, with 10 teams competing in a league format. Currently topping the table is Thailand’s Beyond Esports.
