Gentoo Media (formerly Gaming Innovation Group Inc) announces name change to Gentoo Media Inc

The company, now named Gentoo Media Inc, continues its dual-listing on the Oslo Stock Exchange, Norway, with the ticker symbol G2MNO and on Nasdaq Stockholm, Sweden, with the ticker symbol G2M, from today, 25 September 2024.

The name change is a step towards the restructuring process of dividing the company’s media and platform division. The legal split is expected to take place on Monday 30 September, where the platform and sportsbook division of Gaming Innovation Group will be spun off to operate as an independently listed company under the name GiG Software plc and will be listed on Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market with the first day of trading expected 1 October 2024.

The name change from Gaming Innovation Group Inc to Gentoo Media Inc is a big step towards completing the legal split, spinning off the platform business and creating two independently listed companies.
