Sign in with AstroPay launches to streamline user journeys

Being aware of the challenges that online businesses face to onboard new customers, AstroPay developed the API to help operators obtain reliable information from their users from a single click.
Asking the user to complete endless sign-up forms often leads to a lot of inaccurate or irrelevant information, and in some cases, losing the customer.
Moreover, when this data has to be verified to comply with KYC regulations and risk profiles, the procedures become more complicated.
“Sign In with AstroPay is a new feature that aims to solve the problem from the root, taking the burden of onboarding and KYC off the merchants’ shoulders”, explained AstroPay chief executive Mikael Lijtenstein.
“Instead of putting the user through a long onboarding process, merchants will present the Sign In with AstroPay button which will reduce the process to a simple tap.”
This feature allows the merchant to get all the necessary information, eliminating the need to complete its own KYC. Hence, clients will no longer require forms, additional data, complex identity checks, or source of funds verification.
From the user experience perspective, the process is similar to signing in with Google or Facebook. This both simplifies the process for the consumer, and in turn improves business’ conversion rates.
The company has extensive experience in managing the specifics of emerging markets, such as Latin America, Africa and Asia, offering an efficient solution to more than two million users and 500 merchants across the world.
