World Poker Tour (WPT) partners with Gamavrs for first-ever NFT poker club
The WPT and GAMAVRS initiative, which was revealed this February, marks the poker world’s first step into the exciting Metaverse.
WPT is one of the most famous names in the poker industry. Gamavrs, meanwhile, has established itself as a unique and proprietary poker NFT community and will work exclusively with the WPT.
Poker Heroes Club will allow its members to use their NFT avatar within the WPT Global Client, a new platform for poker players around the world. The Poker Heroes Club NFT avatars offer many advantages, which include $100,00 freeroll tournaments, million dollar giveaways, a members only club, and WPT live events.
But perhaps even more exciting is the possibility to play at celebrity tables with famous WPT official ambassadors. The list includes the recent addition of DJ Steve Aoki, who was announced as a WPT ambassador. You can also play with other famous WPT ambassadors such as Vince Van Patten, Lynn Gilmartin, Tony Dunst, and many others.
There are a total of 9,999 Poker Heroes Club NFT avatars available. The first 250 will be available for pre-sale minting, as of mid-February. Starting on March 1st, the remaining NFT avatars will become available for purchase in three different phases.
The NFT avatars are broken up into three different groups, or tiers. Each one comes with its own benefits according to its rarity:
- Humans (60% of total supply)
- Cyborgs (30%)
- Gods (10%)
Adam Pliska, CEO of World Poker Tour, shared some words on the new partnership with Gamavrs: “Gamavrs is helping us integrate Poker Heroes into the entire WPT experience – we are confident that players who mint or purchase Poker Heroes will appreciate the wide range of benefits afforded to them.”
Its entrance in the Metaverse isn’t the only exciting new development for WPT, as it gears up for the launch of the new WPT Global brand.
WPT and Gamavrs are also auctioning NFT of real-life ‘Moments’ of memorable and epic moves in poker history. You will have a chance to obtain an NFT Moment such as Phil Ivey’s ‘A Legendary Bluff in Poker History’, which sold for 40 ETH ($124,142.80 USD). The first 250 NFT Poker Heroes avatars are available for pre-sale right now, at the Gamavrs website. This is your chance to take part in the early history of NFT Poker.
