Oregon lottery sports betting revenue dips month-on-month in July

Oregon experienced a month-on-month dip in sports betting revenue for the month of July, having previously been on the increase in recent months.
Gross gaming revenue figures were $2.2m during July for the state’s DraftKings-powered Scoreboard product, which represents a 21% decrease on the previous month but a 37.5% increase from July 2020.
The revenue was derived from a betting handle of $18.2m after 503,653 total bets were placed. The handle also decreased from June, dropping from $24.9m.
Baseball proved to be the most popular sport to wager on. It generated a third of the overall handle with $6.3m, with revenue of $518,778. Basketball was second with a handle of $4.7m although it had a higher revenue of $810,206, while soccer had a $2.6m handle and $255,141 of revenue.
