Intralot signs new contract with Moroccan state lottery
Greek lotteries and gaming solutions provider Intralot has extended its agreement to provide management and operation services to La Marocaine Des Jeux et des Sports (MDJS), Morocco's state-owned sports lottery body.
Under the agreement, Intralot Maroc, the Morocco-facing subsidiary of Intralot, will provide MDJS with management services for its lottery, sports betting and instant games offering across retail, internet and mobile channels.
This will include the supply of lottery terminals and software solutions, as well as technical support and services, with plans to expand the MDJS retail network to 1,600 points of sale.
The deal will run for an initial eight years, with the option to extend by a further two years. Intralot has been working with MDJS since 2010 and the new deal will extend this relationship into a second decade.
“MDJS has been a valued INTRALOT customer for the last decade and we are pleased to have been awarded with a new contract to continue our successful operation in Morocco,” Intralot Group deputy chief executive Nikos Nikolakopoulos said.
“This represents an exciting new chapter in our long-term relationship as well as the trust of the state sports lottery organisation in Intralot’s next generation solutions that will enable long-term innovation and growth for MDJS ultimately increasing revenues to good causes for the benefit of the Moroccan community.”
The operations covered by the agreement are scheduled to launch on January 1, 2020.
