DraftKings scores LA Galaxy partnership

Daily fantasy sports (DFS) operator DraftKings has secured a partnership with North American Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise LA Galaxy.

Under the deal, the terms of which were not disclosed, DraftKings will benefit from branding placement across official LA Galaxy digital properties as well as inside the team’s StubHub Center home stadium.

The StubHub Center will now feature a ‘DraftKings Entrance’ where fans can win prizes and make DFS picks before each Galaxy game, while a DraftKings area in the concourse will allow supporters to play select MLS contests.

DraftKings will also become a founding partner of the StubHub Center and work with the team to offer VIP experiences to supporters attending boxing events at the stadium.

Robert Vartan, director of partnership sales at LA Galaxy and AEG Global Partnerships, which brokered the deal, said: “This partnership will launch numerous unique and entertaining opportunities for Galaxy fans and guests at StubHub Center.”
