According to figures released by Nielsen, Sportsbet spent Aus$41 million (€27.8 million/US$30.6 million) on advertising in the last financial year and currently has the most registered customers, with a market share of 26%.
Tabcorp, Ladbrokes, William Hill, Bet 365 and CrownBet each recorded similar brand awareness figures, but Tabcorp boasts more active account, with a market share of 15%.
The USB survey also said while Tabcorp and Tatts have higher brand awareness in states where they hold retail exclusivity, more customers were still aware of Sportsbet.
