Tempobet brokers German-focused Euroleague deal
Germany-facing online betting firm Tempobet has entered into a partnership with Euroleague Basketball, which operates continental club competitions in Europe.
The season-long agreement will run for the duration of the 2016-17 campaign.
Tempobet will serve as the official national betting partner in Germany for the Euroleague and EuroCup tournaments.
The agreement will expand a recent deal through which Tempobet will sponsor German Euroleague outfit Brose Bamberg, with the company now also backing Alba Berlin, Bayern Munich and Ratiopharm Ulm.
Tempobet will also benefit firm LED advertising exposure during the four clubs’ home fixtures, as well as access to other hospitality and sponsorship rights over the course of the season.
“Basketball is a hugely popular sport with both our existing customers and among potential ones, and the opportunity to be the only sportsbook on the LED billboards in Germany was too good to miss,” Tempobet managing director Mark Clayton said.
“Having one deal that gives us simultaneous coverage in multiple European territories with audiences of many millions at the same time will help take us to the next level.”
Roser Queralto, chief business development officer for Euroleague, added: “The new era that Euroleague and EuroCup are about to start, together with the great quality of the German teams in both competitions, create a perfect mix for Tempobet to activate at the highest level.”
