iGB Most Influential Women 2024: Celebrating those championing change in gaming

| By iGB Editorial Team
To mark the launch of iGB’s Most Influential Women 2024 campaign Saroca’s Claire Adamou and Emily Leeb explore the overarching theme of influence. What common attributes do ‘influential’ people share?
Influential Women

iGB’s annual Most Influential Women list recognises those women who have not only built incredible careers within the igaming industry, but are recognised for their achievements from their peers, which is one of the greatest accolades you could wish for.

Personally, we love to read each and every single interview of all those recognised each year. We find their stories inspiring, uplifting and their ambition to strive for excellence in their career shows that the sky’s the limit for anyone.

There are many characteristics which make up and define an influential person. These include:

  1. Helping others to succeed
  2. First class communicators and listeners
  3. Exude confidence
  4. They are always seeking to learn and gain more knowledge
  5. They are humble
  6. They inspire others around them

Influential people act with intention, they focus on the outcome of what they set out to achieve and work to achieve those goals with intention and integrity. They aren’t afraid of making decisions or making calculated risks.

Influential people are productive, focused and always striving for excellence in everything they do. If we reflect back on some of the previously nominated Most Influential Women in igaming, you can see a plethora of award-winning women, nominated by their peers for displaying so many of the qualities we mention above.

In previous years, winners have been sharing their journeys, discussing the juggle of a home/work balance, women who champion other women, and those who are working towards a fairer and more inclusive industry. Featured women have started their own businesses, are CEOs, COOs, VPs, business owners, and from all segments of the business – legal firms, software & tech firms, marketing agencies and so much more.

Time to vote!

2025 brings a new year and a new chance for you to nominate your iGB’s Most Influential Women. The question is, who inspires you and why? Now is the time to reflect on whose career you have been following. If you could, who would you love to have as your mentor because they are inspiring and have built an incredibly well-respected career? Which woman would you like to nominate and recognise not only their career achievements, but who they are as a person and what makes them influential to you and those around them.

The survey for Most Influential Women 2024 is now open and it’s time to vote! We look forward to participating in the judging of nominations as part of an esteemed panel of gaming heavyweights.

We’re looking for women that represent the full range of the industry, including marketing, legal, operations, technology, and regulation.

Ten winners will be selected with the help of a highly respected panel of industry judges that will be revealed shortly. Winners will be featured on igamingbusiness.com later this year.

The survey will formally close on 15 October.
