Maimon steps down from Aspire board, remains CEO

Tsachi Maimon, chief executive of solutions provider Aspire, has resigned from his position on the company’s board of directors in order to focus on his chief executive duties.

Chairman of the board Carl Klingberg said Maimon suggested the idea to the rest of the board.

“Tsachi presented this idea to the Board in order to free up more of his time,” Klingberg said.

“Since Aspire Global is in an exciting growth phase with many interesting strategic initiatives on its agenda this is a wise step in order to enable him to dedicate more of his time to the execution of the strategy.”

Aspire said the move would allow Maimon to focus on Aspire’s growth strategy of targeting tier 1 and tier 2 operators, new markets such as the United States and possible mergers and acquisitions.

Maimon’s resignation will come into effect once it is officially registered by the relevant securities authorities.

Last month, Aspire announced a 1.5% year-on-year rise in revenue in the first quarter of 2020, primarily because of an increase in revenue growth in the UK, Irish and wider European markets. Net profit, however, halved to €2.5m, mainly due to costs related to the acquisition of Pariplay.
