iTech Labs appoints Rizaldi as new CEO

| By Robert Fletcher
Gaming Laboratories International-owned iTech Labs has appointed Alvin Rizaldi as its new CEO following the departure of the long-serving Kiren Sreekumar.

Sreekumar founded iTech Labs in 2004 but has now stepped down as CEO after 19 years in the role. Rizaldi comes in as his immediate replacement.

Rizaldi joined iTech Labs in 2007 as project manager and senior consultant. He went on to become chief commercial officer in April 2019 and has served in the role ever since. He is also a director of the business.

Prior to joining the test lab, Rizaldi worked as a test analyst for Markinson Business Software Solutions. He was also a software developer at Kalyana Textile Retail and Ramayana Motor.

“With his first-hand insight into iTech Labs’ operations and formula to success, long-proven leadership and keen interest in ensuring the success of iTech Labs, Rizaldi is positioned to lead the company further along its continued path of success for many years to come,” a spokesperson for iTech Labs said.

Rizaldi added: “I would like to personally, and on behalf of everyone at iTech Labs, thank Kiren for his leadership, guidance and tireless effort over the past 19 years.

“iTech Labs is entering a new, exciting chapter. It is a privilege to be given the opportunity to lead this great organisation. We have a fantastic team and, with everyone’s support, I’m thrilled for iTech Labs’ next journey of growth and success.”

Gaming Laboratories International purchases remaining iTech Labs shares

The appointment comes after Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) in May acquired all remaining shares in iTech Labs.

iTech Labs is now running as a wholly owned subsidiary of the GLI Australia business. However, the company also continues to operate its global network of testing laboratories independently, while at the same time coordinating efforts with GLI’s larger sales and back-office staff globally.

Financial terms of the share purchase deal were not disclosed.
