Playnetic brings in ex-Playtech VP Phillips as new CEO
Phillips takes on the CEO role with immediate effect ahead of Playnetic officially launching next year. Playnetic will make its debut at ICE 2024, which runs from 6-8 February at ExCeL London.
Phillips joins Playnetic after over five years leading NEL Advisory, the igaming consultancy he founded in April 2018.
Prior to this, Phillips served as vice-president of UK operations at Playtech for five and a half years. He also had spells as managing director of Europe at Fertitta Interactive and CEO for international Chartwell Games.
Earlier in his career, Phillips spent eight years as the gaming director of ecommerce for Gala Coral Group. This was prior to its merger with Ladbrokes and eventual acquisition by Entain.
Phillips began his career in the industry as a dealer, supervisor and pit boss at Gala Casino.
“I am pleased to announce that I have joined Playnetic as CEO,” Phillips said in a LinkedIn post. “With a team of industry experts, we will soon be bringing to the B2B space an exciting range of bespoke games, along with new premium content from our two in-house studios.
“Our approach will be customer first, value, quality, service and straightforward, transparent ways of working and integrating. Further details will be coming soon and we will also be exhibiting at ICE 2024.”
