Sportradar appoints Robel to audit role
Sports data provider Sportradar has appointed Chuck Robel as chairman of the audit committee for its board of directors.
Robel’s role will include oversight of Sportradar’s financial reporting and internal controls, as well as risk management, ethics and compliance.
Robel currently serves as chairman of web domain registrar GoDaddy and was previously lead director of application performance management business AppDynamics from 2014 to 2017, overseeing the business’s initial public offering (IPO).
“Chuck’s incredible knowledge and experience in driving growth for some of the largest technology and data companies in the world makes him an ideal fit to lead Sportradar’s audit committee,” Sportradar chief executive Carsten Koerl said.
“As the primary company creating and shaping the future of the sports entertainment and sports betting spaces, Sportradar was committed to aligning with a leader like Chuck to help steer us through our next phase of development.”
Robel, who has also served on the board of directors for a variety of other companies including cloud computing business Sumo Logic, software company Informatica and cybersecurity business Blue Coat, said he can bring this experience to the field of sports data. Robel also spent 26 years managing the the software services and mergers and acquisition practices at profesional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.
