Badminton
Ukraine’s Masters Cup kicks off the first round-up of the week starting 18 May.
Baseball
China’s Professional Baseball League Reserves and the South Korean Baseball Championship are the only baseball competitions playing in the next 24 hours.
Basketball
Cameroon’s Championnat National is in action.
Darts
A trio of remote leagues – the Icons of Darts Live League, PDC Home Tour and the Remote League – are all playing.
Football
Germany’s Bundesliga became the first major football league to resume following a Covid-19 enforced shutdown, and it continues today (18 May) with Werder Bremen playing Bayer Leverkusen. Also in action is the Turkmenistan Premier and Youth Leagues, while a number of club friendlies are taking place.
Golf
Golf shifts to Flordia, with the first round of the Minor League Golf Tour at that state’s Melreese Country Club. The West Florida Tour also plays its Laurel Oak Spring Classic.
Greyhounds
Dog racing takes place at 13 tracks in Australia, two in New Zealand and three in the US.
Horse Racing
There is action at 11 Australian tracks, but the schedule is becoming increasingly diverse, with racing resuming in a number of countries. Today tracks in Brazil, Denmark, France, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Uruguay and the US are all holding events.
Ice Hockey
The only action available is short form, in Russia’s Comet Division.
Table Tennis
Table tennis leagues and cup competitions are in action in Armenia, Brazil, China, the Czech Republic, Germany, Russia and the Ukraine.
Tennis
The Belarus Masters League; Russia’s Liga Pro and Spring Tour; and the US-based International Tennis Series and women’s Exo-Tennis Series all have fixtures scheduled for today.
Volleyball
Russia’s women’s Liberty League and the men’s Liga Pro are both in action.
